Jimmy Carr: The Jocelyn Wildenstein of Retouching

Looks like someone's been tweaked a little. What does Mr Carr look like in real life?

Okay. You did you know that the airbrush tool has a flow setting, didn't you?

Thanks to PJ Holden for the tip!

Obviously, this is overworked on purpose.

Never heard of him, but he'd be my first choice for playing Young Mr Nixon, if that frightening concept ever came about on B'way.

This is one of those photoshop jobs that fall into the uncanny valley; you can't tell if it's supposed to be a photograph or an illustration.

Either way it's pretty horrible.

The image is supposed to look like that; a subtle caricature.

This blog had potential but sadly seems to have started losing its way already.

Too much eye brightening. That's the worst thing about it— you make the eyes too bright and it's as though they are glowing. No more than 25 points off the white end, please.

It's obviously supposed to look like one of those slightly rubbish paintings you got on old film posters.

Actually, you still get those type of film posters in some countries.

It is supposed to be like that. It is plainly clear that this is the case. I like the idea of this blog but please do at least SOME research into these things.

it looks intentional. As if they are trying to make him look plastic

It IS intentional because on the DVD it shows his stand up show on Second Life. So "these are not the droids you are looking for"

looks like Steve Caplin has had a go at him. Steve who? Steve Caplin , author of How To Cheat In Photoshop and purveyor of unrealistic images to the world. Great blog by the way...

As has been said quite a few times already, this DVD cover is meant to look that way. In addition, if you've ever seen his stand-up act, he looks like a living mannequin with HEAVY make-up and always rosey cheeks. Sometimes I wonder if he has a strange fascination with dolls.

lol - I struggle to look at that picture of him - he's like an evil cartoon!

Actually, is this not intentionally like this?

You know, like a crap idea for an illustration?

Jesus, he looks creepy.

LOL, trust me, it's fully intentional, his thing is that his head looks like it's made out of plastic... I thought it was somewhat obvious...
