the ad is inviting you to the movie-fanatics-night, where you can look for a lot of films with big, small, bloody, said, happy, etc. happy end (just playing on words).

Actually, I'm a Hungarian, and in the light of the text and the history, this disaster is rather a joke.
This picture is an ad about the "Night of Cinema Fanatics" in the course of which you can watch as much films as you can for a low amount.
In order to understand history behind it better, you have to know, that this picture was used in the earlier campaign with the comment "I watched 689 happy ends last year", demonstrating the "side effects" of excessive consumption of cheesy films. After this earlier campaign, this picture remained a kind of trademark of this year's Night.

It may be intentional, but it is still a disaster. I hate it. It is retarded.
I think as chaba said you have to know the history. But even if that is the case it would have been fine for the campaign which had the I've watched 600+ happy endings and it would be funny, and relate to the text. But now in the context of THIS ad if you didn't know the history of it, it looks completely freaky. Just get a different picture.

It's obviously intentional but it still looks bad, and not only because of the huge mouth, but because the photoshopping work doesn't seem very good either.
The "joke" is that she saw so much romantic comedy that she get that huge smile. IMO, completely appropriate and well done. Otherwise, it'll be just a picture of some woman grinning. This one gets your attention. Not a disaster/mistake at all--for the right audience. Taken out of context, i.e., for most of the audience in this forum, it's pretty goofy.

it is intentional, yes, so not really a photoshop disaster. still, it is not easy to face that smile day by day and that is what i do living in budapest. :) on the other hand, the juliarobertsesque face certainly is a memorable one, so it gets to the audience for sure.

Another Hungarian signing in... in addition to earlier explanations, the ad is part of a series of 'touched photos, there is the guy who watches action movies etc. So all in all it's a pretty funny concept, but I guess you have to know the story to get the idea.

There was an ad with the same idea on TV, I can't recall the name (Pizza Hut maybe), but their mouth, nose and eyes grew up in that way because of the product.

Without knowing Hungarian, I can still work out that 'happy endet' in the text indicates that this is deliberate and not a disaster.

As someone who has some Hungarian ancestry, let me just say that this beer ad does NOT show what is considered attractive to Hungarians, traditionally.
What it DOES show, is how American "beauty" standards have become endemic around the world!
For some time now, the Americans have considered TLVS (Teeth Like Vinyl Siding) to be a symbol of beauty. Women, especially, have to have a mouth that stretches ear-to-ear, with thick collagen-injected lips and gigantic bathroom-porcelain-white teeth that are visible at all times.
Don't believe me? Look at all the clones that try out for "reality" shows like America's Next Top Model. Regardless of race/eye colour/hair colour/even gender, one wonders, they are all: tall, wide-shouldered, narrow-hipped and have ultra-long spindly limbs; with narrow heads, and enormous mouths.
The worst images are the ads for teeth whiteners--I swear, the sharks in the Jaws movies had fewer, smaller teeth!
