Well these Azoogle guys look pretty legit. Look at that huge check! There's absolutely no way that's not real, and I know 'cos I'm an expert at faking pictures and stuff.
Thanks to Dave E; original is here!

Have you seen a truly awful piece of Photoshop work? Clumsy manipulation, senseless comping, lazy cloning and thoughtless retouching are our bread and butter. And yes, deep down, we love Photoshop.
If it is commercial and awful then please let us know! Anonymity can be arranged for the easily embarrassed/canned.

also, maybe it's just the font, but that really looks like it says "Hunderd" to me
[placeholder for obligatory threadshit]
Vampire cheque!
HAHAAAAAAAAAAA MOTHER OF ALL THAT IS HOLY!
this takes all
On the bright side, at least we know HE wasn't 'shopped in.
And yeah, looks like "Hunderd" to me too.
it does say "hunderd" --
ahahahah !
Sorry but that is SOOO FAKE!! You can easily tell it's a phoney since if you look at the hummer, you see the reflection of his arms out but he's holding nothing.
they should have at least roto'd he's fingers over the check, you know, so it looks like it's not just floating in mid air...
@tina
Not only that - notice his shadow :D
I'm kinda loving the lack of shadow and reflection...that and the fact that the check looks like clip art, not even a photograph of a real check.
there's no shadow of the cheque on the ground :-D
Now that's a photoshop disaster.
Thanks Tina Silva for the explanation, I was hurting my brain trying to work this one out.
Not sure where to send this stuff, but have you seen this political add that is an obvious green screen job made to look like the husband and wife supposedly have this great homelife but it's obvious she isn't even there?
http://minnesotaindependent.com/view/norms-new-tv-spot
Not sure if green screen screwups qualify for PSD but there you are.
G
Haha, "Vampire Check" was the first thing that popped to my mind as well.
No reflection, and no shadow to boot, haha. I can maybe see missing the reflection (it's a bit more subtle) but come on, the shadow? Puh-lease, that's too obvious to miss.
Oh and yeah, I think it does say "Hunderd" as well.
Tri-Fail for Azoogle's photochopper(s).
This is so bad that it almost seems intentional ... like maybe to drum up some attention.
The shadow is not there.
Gonna gets me a Hummer with my 5 hunderd dollars.
Would you expect anything more from a company named AzoogleAds?
Maybe this is a vampire company that sucks money out of other people so they can write some vampire checks.
The designer didn't even look like he could be bothered. Love it
Oh lawd
It's even funnier when you notice the shadow.
This one could win an award
Oh come on, I have a huge check for a hunderd dollars right now that doesn't cast a shadow - this is NOT photoshopped and it's definitely not a disaster. Jeesh.
Actually, his fingers were shopped in as well. Look at the angle of his arms in the shadow as well as the reflection. They don't match the position of his hands on the check.
dude where can i get some of those shoes?!!
also. away from the subject. where can i find some good photoshop tutorials? i've already checked out adobe tv. thought this would be a good place to get a suggestion.
his shadow doesn't line up with his body,
and the check doesn't have a shadow.
At first I thought they were giving him money for alopecia research. Over a hunderd even.
The "cheque" looks like a friggin' pop-up from some bogus website...
I like the fact that he has only one shoe, mirrored.
Check out the full-size image. They weren't even trying.
It's a failure on sooooo many levels.
oh thats bad. then I realized there was no check in the reflection.
double whammy anyone?
Hah, with the full size image you can definitely see how badly photoshopped his hand is. xP
and the check number in the corner doesn't match the check number in the micr and the micr isn't even straight -- it stair steps. haha.
i think they spent all their money renting the hummer and forgot to budget in a designer or printing a giant check. clearly even a spell checker wasn't in the budget.
wait a minute........ triple whammy. no shadow either? COME ON!!!!!!
For me the worse is the hunderd. Would you buy from a company that cannot even spell? Oh... and not forgetting the fact that he is using sandals?
Looking at the guy on the bike. Is he riding on the grass and about to ride into the lake?
look at his right hand in the full screen that is linked above, what a mess!
This really takes the cake. Not only did can this idiot not understand the basic concept of shadows, he also can't spell!
The model has such a smart ass look on his face. Hahah.
This is fantastic, especially the full size version.
think they purposely misspelled it so idiots wouldn't try to print and cash it in?
Legendary.
Has anyone been to the Azoogle website? Apparently they are a division of "Epic Fail Advertising".
not too mention, of COURSE all giant sized checks would have the account and routing numbers of the bank account with $500,000 in it, and they would post it on the internet. Definition of Epic Fail
Oh yeah! And how bad it is!
First thing I did was check his reflection in the shiny car and like Tina already said...
But people who trick other people bad to make money instead of inventing something by themselves don't think so far. Don't need to be a perfectionist in this business, just shallow.
No shadow, no reflection, typo on cheque, ugly customer. Good luck cashing it, dude!
I love this blog so much!
OMG!!! THIS IS HILARIOUS!!! THE SHADOW... TRHE REFLECTION IN THE CAR... THE LETTER THE WHOLE THING!!! AMAZING!!! HAHAHA
its real, the check is paper, so it makes a thin shadow, and reflection, but if you look close, you can see the fine line of real.
The MICR (American on a Canadian cheque, not in OCR characters, crooked) makes the mess even sweeter.
LOL! just plain sad...i feel sorry for the guy in the photo tho. innocent bystander of a drive by photoshopper!!
haha look at the reflection in the car
it makes it look that much worse.
Dude... where is the shadow???? Of course I'm saying what everyone might say.
WTF is wrong with you guys? this is not a disaster, just a very odd optical ilusion.
.
.
.
.
Come on, someonw had to say that.
Hey, don't be mean!
Azoogle obviously had to fire their whole Digital Art department so that they could honor that check!
;-)
I love the reflection of those biiig empty hands in the car...
Yeahhh, wow.
I'm pretty sure this is a mistake... check out their swim suits. Switched!
http://imagecache2.allposters.com/images/pic/NIM/PL126~Kids-Kissing-Posters.jpg
Site selling this strange art:
http://www.allposters.com/-sp/Kids-Kissing-Posters_i1369978_.htm
1) His right hand is so horribly cropped you can see the pixelated edges.
2) The shadows of the cheque -lack thereof-
3) Left hand is not even gripping the check at all.
4) The cheque is fake to high heaven. Have you ever seen a cheque so neat and straight? Not to mention the lack of shadows on the cheque itself or anything!
man, you rock! this one's a winner!
I don't get the sandal comments. They are lit differently with correct shadows, so I say they are real.
The shadow shows his left hand with the fore finger out to hold the edge of the check to be added. They decided to enlarge the check, I'm thinkng.
Also the shadow and reflections have the arms higher up.
And I can't believe none of you mentioned they missed the two other reflections of him in the rear rim.
By far the funniest post so far, keep up the good work!
That is poor. What's sadder is all the people making bullet lists of the obvious. Oh, and the obligatory 'I can do that with my [insert current topic here] right now' comments; which ceased to be funny..well, they just ceased to be funny.
Saw this in my feed and thought I was reading a different blog and thought maybe I'' send this to photoshopdisasters and then thought... no it's just TOO bad.
Are people taking this piss pointing out why this is a photoshop? It's like making a list of reasons why you think Jacko might ahve had plastic surgery.
what if they DID want it to look soooo obvious?
just a good ad, imo
anonymous said...
"WTF is wrong with you guys? this is not a disaster, just a very odd optical ilusion.
Come on, someonw had to say that."
No, they really didn't.
even funnier than the obvious disasters are the threads here explaining what's wrong in the picture o_O
Check the reflex in the car. You can see is hand without nothing
ROFL! I also go with "vampyre check"!
If you look here...
http://shoemoney.com/gallery/v/misc/AzoogleAds_Check.html
...it's apparently a magazine ad! Please don't tell me this made it into print...
oh my... I hope the Birkenstocks are photoshopped too.
nice reflection on the car, btw...
this is not a photoshop disaster...
...this is an ms paint disaster. :S
i hope anyway.
(who the hell uses the block eraser tool to cut out a hand?)
This ones really flawed .. I tried photoshopping it to make it a bit more realistic just for a challenges sake ... but couldnt and the reflection would give it away anyway
The edges on it are too sharp and it looks too crisp ..(and thats only the beginning...)
They didn't even bother to make it look like his fingers are curled around it...wow. I'd be surprised if this took more than 30 seconds.
For those of you who are web designers/developers, go to their website. Note the design and layout. Then check the source code. I'm not sure which is more of a disaster, this image or their site.
lol there's no reflection and no shade from the cheque itself idiots.
If you click on the original enough times you get a big 2k-pixel version where you can really see the chop-job on his fingers and the straight-line artificiality of the check.
Also, who buys a new luxury vehicle BEFORE they cash their big check? How spurious is that.
levitating money!!! yayayayayayayay i want some!!!!! or better, hire a better photoshop craphead!!!
The original page actually states that it's a poor photoshop:
"This is not a real check it was for a Magazine Ad for AzoogleAds. Yes its photoshop'd (badly). It was an amazingly good campaign for them. Its been on numerous websites who think they have discovered it was fake... even though it says it here. Good for traffic ;)."
I would've at least photoshopped the guy a nice toupee while I was at it...
Oh, it so says "hunderd". Fucking brilliant.
Check out the reflection in the Hummer... what check?
btschulze: OMG!!! TOTALLY!!!!! I HADn'T NOTICED!!!??
I wish people would read the comments - some of them at least - before adding their own. Jesus. Why do you assume that, after 78 comments have been made, no-one has yet noticed that the fucking cheque has been photoshopped onto the picture?
Yeah they said it was an advertisement for their site, 2 questions though: 1. Why not use a real person with a real experience unless this was clearly only to mislead people in an ad (even admitting it was ps)? 2. If they knew it was god awful amateurish 6th grader photoshopping, why use it to represent your company for ads; wouldn't they have known seeing this puke of photoshopping would make the consumer be instantly suspicious and laugh at whoever the retards were who wasted actual money on ad space..?
Oh comeon!
Thats not even Photoshop! Thats Windows 3.11's Paint!
I just don't even know what to say about that.
I'm simply baffled. How that graphic could have got approval from anyone -- even Helen Keller -- is completely beyond me.
This is truly one of the most stupefyingly bad shop jobs I've ever seen, though to be fair the photographer wasn't paying attention either -- s/he should have framed the shot with the model posed behind the hood of the Hummer with his arms raised above his head holding the phantom check, so there wouldn't have been a shadow issue, and the reflection problem might have been less obvious or nonexistent.
But damn. Just ... damn.
Personally, I know when I get my picture taken I always make it a point to hold whatever's in my hands at a 100% straight, pixel-perfect horizontal position.
Also on the huge version, you can see the epic font failure where they neglected to fix the kerning on the "script" and make the letters actually connect up with one another.
This glorious thing has been my introduction to Photoshop Disasters. Needless to say, you've a new fan.
Just check the reflection on the hummer! peace out!
Awesome detective work, jackasses. What tipped you off to this cunning fraud? Was it your expert knowledge of Photoshop? Or did you see the image in its original context, and read the text that said that the check was [obviously] a fake...
Some people care about Photoshop, some people have lives.
Enjoy your Photoshop.
Noticed that folks checked the MICR/OCR, but did anyone run the account number to see if they used a real account?
Be a shame if someone sucked hunderds out because they broadcast their acct info...
I spy with my little eye three more travesties, How many can you spot - IN THE CHROME!
@anonymous 1:53am:
...and some people who don't care about photoshop come to a photoshop related site to troll and bash on the people who do care.
Some people have lives you were saying?
(yeah yeah I'm not much better now am I)
On the ad, the blurb about saying it was on purpose sounds suspiciously like the response received from new artists who get a critique and can't handle it "but I gave her no cranium on purpose"... and after all this I still have no idea what that company is or does. Great Advertising.
You know what's really funny? What's really funny is that the same jerkoffs who bitch and moan when they don't think there's a problem with the picture, when faced with a picture that OBVIOUSLY has multiple, disastrous problems, instead turn to saying "You idiots are so lame for listing the things wrong with this picture; God, get a life!"
It seems they are only happy when shitting on people's blogs - whether there IS or ISN'T a photoshop disaster. Good lord.
you got the shadow AND the reflection of someone holding a vampire cheque that is faster than it's own shadow hoohhohohohohoho
Oh, sob, they're not following the flock. Come on Annie, where's your sense of humour?
Why should people have the right to take the piss out of images - and also the people in them, in this case - but not out of the ridiculous comments people make?
There will always be hecklers; it's down to the comedian to put them in their place. Sorry, they seem to be absent.
The flock? Seems to me the assholes outnumber the fans here, so I dunno what "flock" you're talking about. But it's still hilarious how seriously you take this...a f***ing humor blog. I kid you not, it's genuinely funny to me when they start in, and even funnier when it's self-contradictory. As far as the comedian, seems to me he doesn't bother answering, though I'd say he gets some laughs posting things that will obviously piss off the trolls (then when they rise to the bait, posting something that no one could possibly argue with, so they have to find something else to whine and cry about LOL), so it's all win-win :)
I must have missed the point where humour entered the ring. If you could just circle the funny bits, that might help..oh, you already have?
Not only is there no shadow on the ground, look at the reflection on the hummer. What a bummer!
hahahhahahha that's not even a Photoshop disaster, it's a PAINT disaster! LOL
There is no shadow for the check people
hkfalkshdf this is AMAZING.
In every post there's a bunch of people picking out problems with the photo that aren't even there. The shoes aren't an issue, the biker is not an issue, the shadow wasn't tampered with--OBviously! This is just a guy posing and a "check" pasted in. I promise they didn't take the time to mess with anything else.
But, but Antonia haven't you seen? There's NO SHADOW. And NO REFLECTION. And the HANDS ARE BADLY SHOPPED. Hehe. I can't believe no one else has pointed these things out.
Oh, man, I'm going to remember these people when I'm looking for work, they'll hire ANYone!!
Sometimes fake stuff like this attracts more attention than real.
Just like boobs.
HAHA SOO FAKE YOU KNOW WHY U LOOK AT THE REFLECTION ON THE CAR HE HOLDING NOTHING!!1
He! That's Shoemoney!
Comeon! Stop taking yourselves so seriously for a moment and visit.
http://www.shoemoney.com/2008/06/21/azoogleads-check-featured-on-photoshop-disasters/
PS - love the comments that support this picture being real!
The guy in this photo has made much more than $500k in his career. He makes more than that a month.
These comments are pretty harsh toward ShoeMoney (the model in the photo), and I don't think that's fair. The Photoshop job is obviously bad, but it's pretty sad that all of you losers are turning it into a personal attack.
Remember kids, this a humor blog. Ya know, where people can get away with pretty much anything because any real offense caused to people can be dismissed as teh funnay.
Did anyone notice there's no reflection in the Hummer? There's no shadow either! I know I'm totally the first person to spot this.
Something so obviously fake seems contrive.
"Remember kids, this a humor blog. Ya know, where people can get away with pretty much anything because any real offense caused to people can be dismissed as teh funnay."
You're right. Real talk, folks - genuine offense against vampire checks and bad sandals has become a serious social problem. If you'd like to contribute to the fund for helping erstwhile bank documents and footwear adjust to modern internet life, please go to www.nottehfunnay.org and click on the paypal donation button. We're counting on you!
Oh, and if you give more than $5 a 25 hunderd cent donation will go to ErsatzHands.gov to assist all the struggling bad hand jobs in the ad biz. They need love too.
You're such a hoot. Have you thought of a career on stage? No, really.
It's easy to detect it as a fake. Just check the reflection in the car, and you'll se a man handing nothing with his hands
Wait a minute, you mean there's NO REFLECTION of the check on the car???
Holy hell. This is one heck of a PS disaster.
ハハ! そこに小切手の反射か影無し
where is reflection of bill. this shit!!!1!
this forum is gettin desperate man!
i dont think whoever did da edit was aiming for realism!
so why should it be attacked for the crappiness of it??
i love this thread.. but cmon..
you cant be serious wen applying the verdict on something like this!
The designer claims it was intentional FTA: "This is not a real check it was for a Magazine Ad for AzoogleAds. Yes its photoshop'd (badly). It was an amazingly good campaign for them. Its been on numerous websites who think they have discovered it was fake... even though it says it here. Good for traffic ;)."
I see the shadow and seems that the cheque is not there, but not oly that, the hands that are under the cheque, this guy has four hands. He seems not really happy.
Oh my god... that you people are still commenting about this...
It was obviously the intention of the add to make it this way... and it is brilliant. This image pops up everywhere on the internet just becouse of you dumbheads think to have discovered that it is "fake"... Even my dog can see that this is fake... But now everyone knows the brand "azoogle", and that was there goal... and you guys made it succeed... I laughing here more with you guys and your stupid comments than with this brilliant approach of advertising.
Lmfao. I wonder how much that dude got paid
I find it very unlikely that it was intentionally Photochopped. If that was so, a joke about it would probably appear in the ad somewhere, or it'd be even more obvious, like with a giant white mess around the outside of the check. It's possible that it was intentional, I guess, but it's much more likely that they realized what a joke they were and claimed it was intentional. Like William Shatner acting like he's known everyone was making fun of his toupee all these years.
yeah cuz a multi million dollar company can't afford a real photoshop job, of course it was done on purpose you dumbasses.
Shoemoney Rocks!
Are you new to this site? Big companies have crappy Photoshop jobs all the time. That's why this blog even exists. And what makes you think Azoogle is a multi-million dollar company?
It's obvious it is photoshopped, but it's not like it was trying to be hidden. Shoemoney probably makes more than that :P
Googled azoogle and their site says:
"AzoogleAds is the leading performance-based marketplace."
What a joke the company can even say this! false advertising themselves I hope they have this image on their opening page!
HAHA!!! What a fake! I see this;
** Fake Sandles
** Fake Shadow on floor
** Fake Shadow on car
** Bike in wrong place (going into see)
** Shadows in rims wrong
** Cheque Details wrong
So FaKe!!! Busted!
shoemoney is a scammer and a scumbag. of course he will state that the pic was photoshopping badly on purpose and that he did it for 'traffic'.
Weird how the check vanishes into the Hummer's waxed paint job...
i knew i would find more retards good for a luagh here.. YES!.. im bored!
now dumbfuckers are claiming
"the shadow on the rims" is fake!!
wtf!!??
dude put da bong down once in a while!
..accidently drop it/break it!!
..something !!
so in da time it takes u to make/buy a new one ur brain gets a little rest away from da frying pan at least!
Pro tip: If you're going to insult people's intelligence, try not to sound like a total retard while you do so. lrn 2 grammer
Marz sed: "something unintelligible"
Did you stub your toe on your mom's crack needle this morning?
This really gave me a chuckle. Thanks.
"It was obviously the intention of the add to make it this way... and it is brilliant. Great! Win-win - we got lolz and they got great advertising. Try to remember that next time someone says this blog is destroying people's careers LOL.
Of course, the "I meant to do that" line is as old as the hills. :D
I'm going to look dumb now but the first thing I noticed in this pic was that he seemed to have been given 3 hands - 2 to hold the cheque and one to hold the ice cream in his left hand. Then I realised that's not an ice cream, that's a guy on a bike. Kinda looks like an ice cream though!
It does sorta look like an ice cream lol!
You guys are all morons.
That's Jeremy from Shoemoney.
He probably photoshopped it himself for lulz.. and you've missed the very obvious joke.
You all fail at the Internet, especially the OP.
reflection off the car....
free and cheap international calls
href="http://pfingo2.blogspot.com/"
href="http://callworldfree.blogspot.com/" free
you dont have to be a Photoshop expert to see that the check doesn't throw a shadow :/
learn 2 grammar..
this is da internet fag!!
jus cos ur sad ass sits in front of a
computer typing bullshit all day don't mean da rest care to take da time to spell properly.
its da net.. soo///
giv ur keyboard a hugg queer!
OMG NO U R A FAG!!!!!!1!!!!!!!one!!
By typing like a moron, you're revealing yourself to BE a moron. It doesn't matter if it's the internet or a preschool.
This is obviously a viral marketing campaign as AzoogleAds could easily have done a pro PS job if they really wanted to... all this free coverage is just extra business (and linkbait) for them. ;)
Rob
AWESOME! Then it was a WIN for us here (lolz) and a WIN for shoemoney (lolz) and a WIN for Azoogle (linkbait/free advertizing.)
This site is so full of win it's unbelievable - that's a three-way win right there!
Keep up the good work, PSD :) Where everyone wins :)
Just see the truck, his hand...
Uhhhh Yeah. I think this was never intended to be a "real" photo. I think they probably did this on purpose without any hopes that it would pass for authentic.
Oh wow...this is bad. Bad BAD BAD. Insane.
har har! what a crappy job. there's no reflection in the car and no shadow of the check
Add "irony" to your list of things you need to figure out. Right between "typing" and "grammar." And maybe some new insults, too. "lol ur a fag"
Amazing. Did you come up with that one all on your own, or did you pick it up from the millions of other retarded 12-year-olds on the internet?
LOL THERE IS NO REFLECTION FROM THE CAR OF THE CHEQUE!!!
i guess they couldnt afford a real giant prop check
I don't see anything wrong with this photo.
(Score! I'm the first one to say that! . . . Sigh, why did I even feel the need to make a comment? You guys have fully exhausted this conversation.)
copywriter - look at the REFLECTION! There's no reflection of the check! HAHA!
@bigpappa
You're right.
If you look at the original, it says so right above it.
It was made to increase traffic to the site.
I see my brilliant plan has worked. For I am Jeremy of Shoemoney, and the increased traffic to my site from this entry has earned me an additional $100 000! You see, I had the incredible plan to set up a photo of myself next to my wicked Hum-V standing with my arms out, and I decided to photoshop a cheque in later! I'm actually an expert at Photoshop but I decided not to make a real effort, just for the hope that someone would see through this fake unprofessionalism and get the stunningly brilliant social commentary I was making with this image. Plus, it's always good to have some extra pocket change. I'm enjoying the new platinum rims on my ride, thank you very much Photoshop Disasters! Pleasure doing business with you!
//may or may not be full of lies.
The Huge cheque is really fake...but if you look at the car you can see why...there's a hand without the cheque shadow... :S
The Huge cheque is really fake...but if you look at the car you can see why...there's a hand without the cheque shadow... :S
rhodyyou win man..
you've obviously had lotta practice arguing on da nternet.. i cant compete with you.
enjoy your prize..
LIFETIME OF LONELINESSSS!!
I'm starting to like your blog.
Try again, Marz. I'm married. <3
"Not to mention that the shadow of the check is missing :P
Maybe someone else caught that."
They did, but no one noticed hundred was misspelled, I think. Heh.
Also, to anon/Shoemoney above - lol!
have the look at the reflection from the door which clearly shows his original pose!lol!!!
look st the shadow on the car...
like i said.. ur 2 pro with this
arguing on da net for me.
so well done.
good luck with your future
internet battles/rages/flaming/etc..
And have fun single handedly lowering the average IQ of the planet.
Why did they edit out the reflection of the check in the Hummer?
Because Shoemoney wanted the ChaChing from PSD hits. :D
haha, look at his shadow... something's wrong, aaaaight;)
It DOES say "hunderd" !! Brilliant, I didn't even notice that. What I did notice was that the cheque does not appear in the reflection in the car, even though his arms clearly do.
If you go to the original page, it actually shows you how to include this image on your own pages! Maybe we should...
AHAHAH THE REFLECTION!!!
Look at the reflection! The check disappeared!
NO REFLECTION? Are you sure? Holy crap. Why did they photoshop out the reflection???
This photo isn't a photoshop disaster, I think they used paint.
I like that there's no shadow for the check...and in the reflection in the car, you see his hands, but no check. haha.
not to mention the reflection in the Hummer :D
let me be hilarious !
Check? Isn't it 'Cheque'?
773: You're just a jerk... not everyone has time to waste reading all the posts. Forgive me for wasting yours.
hahah look at the reflection on the car. you don't see the check, just a guy holding his arms out like he wants a hug or whatever.
Hey, how come it has no reflection on that nearby car. All I see is the guys hands.
yeah its not in the reflection on the car
Did anyone also notice the blue sign in the background? The sign is at a slant while the text on it is completely straight
Somebody notice the shadow of the guy?! lol
The shadow knows for sure!
it's fake.. look in the reflection of the car you dumbass.
Hahaha.
Just look at the hummer.
I think my 7 year old niece could make a better photo then that.
Pathetic.
Y'all don't be naive! I have a few bogus checks on my desk, totaling almost $600,000! Among them are a bogus Google check.... Looks very real, but I checked the routing number, which is bogus. I also have a Bank of America check which looks real, but isn't (confirmed with BoA).... and even a bogus IRS check! Beware! There are scammers everywhere! And most of them seem to be Nigerian!
Um, is it the reflection?
