Orange: Say Hello To George Cloney

Looks like Orange's video à la demande service doesn't do widescreen that well.

Thanks to Maxime!

That is SHAMEFUL!

Were you trying that "Don't tell us, let us find it for ourselves" thing you were asked for after the Milk campaign? Because it was quite a treat looking at the limbs and faces and reflections and then ... OH MY GOD!

Warren said...

Wow, man. They didn't even really try, did they?

And I thought I was bad at Photoshop. xD

Now THAT is a Photoshop disaster!

I particularly love the sudden end to the dark green bush on the end. BANG.

@david - me too!

even the "original" at http://www.allocine.fr/film/galerievignette_gen_cfilm=110655&cmediafichier=18835891.html (wait 15 secs for the ad to finish) has some clone tool. look between the two guys on the right, at the ledge between them.

Epic. Fail.

Loquacity said...

I would be inclined to say that those guys have all had their photos taken separately, and then been comped together. Which would explain the little bit of clone tool on the bench between the two guys on the right, and the second guy from the left's cutout feet ...

Disaster aside, why is the guy in the red shirt so extra happy? Does it have anything to do with his left hand?

Stacia said...

I didn't get the pun in the title until I realized the problem with the picture.

the second guy from the left has a really bizarre right foot. If you lokk closely, it doesn't even seem attached to his leg!

Anonymous said...

Look behind the guy with the white hair...is that the time vortex?

Are we going to expect the TARDIS to pop out of it any second now?

Anonymous said...

the guy in red is how i looked when i saw it.

I like the stone pool edge. It looks so fake, it's almost real again.

Hahahahaha! That's how a picture photoshoped by me would look like! Haha!

That's awsome :)))

Lessie said...

Is it bad that I didn't even notice what was wrong until I read your description?

osinsh said...

and someone is getting paid for this... damn.

Tusenfot said...

Aargh. Now that's a REAL clone war.

Anonymous said...

And the water is all fake too? Every drop of it? Horrible.

"When do I get to see the sailboat?"

Anonymous said...

Hilarious.

Btw, loving this site. The daily source for good fun.

Anonymous said...

Not only is the edge of the pool loking fake as hell it's a badly cloned as the bushes in the back.

photoxris said...

"Bullshit... i'm not putting my feet in that water, it ate yours clean off!!!"

and here i thought one of the guys is George Clooney and couldn't quite get the joke in the title..

..until i've scrolled down to 12 comments and realize how badly i misread it..MY DISASTER!

anyways, these guys might have thought they would cover up the fake water and bushes by their genuine laughs.. :)

I am looking at my bushes and they are doing that right now!

bobbem said...

This ranks pretty low on the list of things wrong with the picture, but notice that there are absolutely no ripples caused by they guys' legs in the water.

Great find!

WOW - this has to be one the worst images (in terms of background) this site has ever posted!

Have you guys (and Gals) ever thought about giving awards to the years worst images? Commenters could vote on it.

BTW: Love the site! Keep up the good work!

Steve

that would be a great idea!

i would nominate New York Chicken Wings.. i don't know why but it just blew my sanity away the moment i laid my eyes on it..LOL

lots of worst's in the May and April archives.. :)

Loner Gamer said...

Oh dear. They should have just stretched out that image. But no, that would just be too obvious.

Anonymous said...

Wow, it's like they didn't even try

chesca said...

Oh no! Do they not have eyes to see how bad their finished look was??

noStyle said...

OMG!!!
It seems that a first year student in Computer Graphics (and a really bad one!) is in training in Orange France this summer. And he must feel really alone in his open space in this time of holidays... :-)

Ah and thank you for your great website!

The guy in the striped shirt - that's a new leg sticking out. Look, there is a part of a foot behind the guy on the far lefts leg.

A/T said...

Also, they all look pretty orange.

Advocare Teresa in Beaumont said...

Oops - no - sorry - that's black shirt guy's toe.

ahecht said...

How has no one mentioned the completely opaque, impossibly blue, incredibly fake "water"?

Tom Donald said...

The unreality of the scene chimes with the insincerity of the actors.
Imagine the pain of working on a fake picture of fake people faking it for The Man.
