If you try quite hard, it *is* possible to hide the index finger with the thumb....
Is this really a photoshop disaster? I bet she flunked wood shop class in high school.

wow... what I find really funny is that the work looks really good. I mean, the hand looks pretty much untouched with the exception of the fact that she's missing a finger.
I met Eva Avila a week ago, and she did in fact have more than three fingers.
This is NOT at all a disaster..
Even my girlfriend can hide her index finger! :P
I've had people who had an aversion to others pointing threaten to do that to me. Eva, did you have Mr. Boekholder for civics in high school?

Anyone else think that the Asian kid in the back may or may not be missing his right shoulder? I mean missing a finger is one thing, but what the hell do you get for a shoulder nowadays? I'd demand a freakin' iPhone.

I like to think about all of the people that looked at this picture, and then looked at their own hand to see if they could create the same hidden-index finger image right before their very eyes.
I don't believe it was hidden, I think this is definitely a photoshop disaster.
And her hair on the right? Is it just my LCD, or are they cut with a laser?
I can hide my finger behind my thumb but it's the first time my hand has been in that position and I've probably guaranteed myself arthritis in later life.
I'm more concerned that only one of the devices has a reflection (and even that looks a litte skewed).
I can certainly make my hand look just like the one in the picture using my thumb to hide the index finger, so I think it's possible that photoshop wasn't to blame.

I'm not saying this to be contrary, but I'm really having trouble hiding my index finger with my thumb. Ow.
Anyhow, seeing that sharp line on the left of her thumb makes me think that her thumb was between her index and middle fingers, and they accidentally 'shopped out the index finger. At the same time I think they took some of the poor background guys out, too.

but look at her fat face, and skinny hands...
Given the way her last three fingers are positioned over the meat at the thumb/wrist juncture, her index finger would have to be in a fairly awkward position and have rather thin knuckles in order to end up disappearing so thoroughly. And given the angle of the photo, at least a small portion of the finger should be visible above the other fingers, even post-snap.
If she for some reason has a really odd fist pose, then I don't think they chopped her finger off, per se, I think they shopped out the small portion that would've otherwise been visible because they thought it looked weird (oh, irony).
And if it is a post-snap pose as the positioning suggests, they did indeed shop off her index finger for some reason because the pad of her finger should be resting on the pad of her thumb.
Maybe it's just me, but post-snap, my index finger in clearly visible. In fact, the only way i could even come close to this is to make a fist and hide the finger behind it, and even then you still see 'meat' back there.

her left (our right) eye is kind of lazy. Of course, it's probably not the fault of a photoshopper, but a bad photographer.
The weirdest thing about this image is that there's simply no good reason at all to have mangled her hand like that.

they did some heavy processing on her face too, which might explain the slightly nonhuman look to her eyes.

Upon closer inspection, there is a little blurring above her thumb where her index finger would be pointed straight up and also, more noticeably, the thumb is cut too straight from that bottom thumb joint up to her thumbnail. If you make your hand with your index finger straight up, you can see what they shopped out. I have no idea why they would do this though.
I can hide my finger too but why got through all of that for a quick snap of the camera? I actually think that the horrible attempt to create the "smokey eye" look on her is more disturbing. She looks like she got punched in the eye days before.
The index finger is behind her thumb, it seems as if they have taken the shot just after she had "clicked" her fingers - no disaster here, move right along.
What if we're looking at it wrong. Maybe they didn't remove a finger, maybe they just blurred the finger invisible. Basically, try to hide your index behind your thumb, once you've done that, lift your index finger up a bit, so you can see it peer over the top. If you blur that too much, it might take the appearance of her thumbnail (which is actually just her index finger in the back). That guy in the back, though, is definitely missing a shoulder...

some of those pics are not so much edited and are in themselves disastrous. But photoshop, I can bet always worsen the conditions.
This isn't a photoshpdisaster.Its suppposed to be a pun. PERSONALLY YOURS..as in she has 4 fingers but owns an mp3 player that is personal to her. not something everyone else has like an ipod or 5 fingers.
Oh come on, it's not impossible to cover your finger with your thumb.

This is funny, I sure am glad some of you have reported that it was not due to a shop class cut the finger and not the wood problem. I was thinking that for a moment.
Yeah, Eva is a rather pretty girl, and this image totally goes wonky-donkey on her eyes. Either they picked a bad shot, or they really f'ed with her eyes.
Supposing she really has only three fingers? A friend of mine in middle school had only three fingers on his left hand.

ROFL. The funniest thing was before seeing the title, I looked at the image as always, trying to find what was wrong with it as always. Instantly I noticed the 4 fingers, and the first thing that came to my head was this interview with the creator of The Simpsons or something where they asked him about the yellow skin and the 4 fingers. The reply had something to do with it being cheaper that way...
