Ah, no, you see, that isn't a disaster because Germans have this thing called verletzterfingersieg, which is the triumph of fingers over logic, dummy.
Thanks to thePGJ! Original is here!

Have you seen a truly awful piece of Photoshop work? Clumsy manipulation, senseless comping, lazy cloning and thoughtless retouching are our bread and butter. And yes, deep down, we love Photoshop.
If it is commercial and awful then please let us know! Anonymity can be arranged for the easily embarrassed/canned.
Although I am hopeless at replying to email, be assured that each and every tip is followed up.

Hmm, maybe a new special feature of their cams. So, no disaster ;)
So apparently disjointed puppets use that brand of camera....
i don't see a problem with the fingers. i see a problem with her missing her left arm completely
It looks a bit strange, admittedly. But the thumb is behind the other fingers and the little finger is just tucked under the camera.
Or am I missing something glaringly obvious? :-)
Kalee, you are missing soemthing. Look at the direction the lens is pointing. (Is that the lens? The pointy bit. I'm no good with photography).
It's a really weird way to hold a camera....
She doesn't need a left arm because this camera is so easy to use that.... oh wait. Nevermind.
BTW: Way to put the merchandise in front of the merchandise.
It's not a weird way to hold a camera like this. These pocket cams are often kind of awkward to hold, and her pinky is just behind her ring finger. What's weird is that anyone at Panasonic would look at this and say "approved!", because it makes their cameras look a little uncomfortable to hold. In other words, it's weird that this appears to have *not* been Photoshopped and fixed.
The left arm thing is more of an obvious Photoshop than the fingers.
verletzterfingersieg? Whats this??? Habe das noch nie in meinem Leben gehört...
it's not a camera, it's a cigarette dudes
désolé, this* then
this really isn't that bad. the fingers aren't as odd looking as the dark burn scar on her wrist.
I am double jointed and hold things in really strange ways sometimes and dont notice until someone goes "oh my god, whats up with your [insert body part]... and then i realize my limbs are all twisted up, yet it felt normal.
i picked up my camera and was able to hold it this way fairly easily...
really they should have see how awkward it looks and rearranged her, i dont see it as drawn in
Maybe 'Weitblick' means twisty fingers and deformed knuckles?
It has more of it here, whatever it is!
The cam is very badly comped in and the lady holds it in a very silly way, making her hand look weirdly contorted (qualifying the image as a disaster). But I'm not sure if her fingers would really have to be "disjointed" or "doublejointed" to be arranged like this or if the hand would have to be "drawn". I seem to be able to hold a cam in a similar way, although it's awfully uncomfortable.
PS: I have no idea what verletzterfingersieg is supposed to mean. Hurt finger victory? I can't help but suspect that someone mistakenly thinks he's come up with a funny Third Reich lingo spoof. If so, that someone deserves to be slapped in the face.
The other best part is when she lost her whole left arm in the accident that messed up her fingers.
With boobs like that... I'dont see why she could ever need her head on her shoulder, or an aditional arm or maybe fingers ??
I guess they also drew the left arm
The problem isn't the fingers. It's the specular highlight and shadow of the camera lens barrel.
The highlight appears on the top right of the extended lens barrel, which indicates that the main source of light is located more towards camera right. On the other hand, the shadows on the model's face point the light in the opposite direction (camera left).
where is her left arm ?? i think we should move from the fingers to the left arm. Fingers might be like that, but a missing arm...
Now that's a disaster
I'd say that this isn't photoshopped. Her hand looks fine except for the dark spot - an odd shadow.
As for her "missing arm", I don't think it's been photoshopped away. Look at this image. Crop the torso just below the breasts and you get a similar image, except the hair in the original covers the shoulder.
Didn't anyone notice her neck is extremely long as well? What a Giraffe
She's just throwing up gang signs.
REPRAZENT!
I just tried to do this with my mobile phone, and the only way I could achieve it was by using my other hand to physically place my fingers, and even then it hurt!
There's no way she did that naturally.
WHY can't people just take a picture? Why 'shop everything?
w/v tiorwa
There's a ribbon where her left arm should be...or something.
All the same, this is a lovely girl!
Can you use chopsticks, Skinty? :D
It's easy - grab the phone/camera at one end with your index and thumb. Hold it up as if to take a picture and then bring your three fingers forward to stabilize.
Not everything is photoshopped. At worst, the camera is composited as it's hard to get both a model and the product with perfect lighting (and still highlighting the product).
Whatever you mean by "verletzterfingersieg" I can tell you, that this word doesn't exist. Apart from the fact that it'd be spelled "Verletzter-Finger-Sieg" in German ... but even that way it doesn't make any sense yet.
So would possibly be so kind as to please let us know what kind of really bad joke this is supposed to be?
It looks like they have added the fingers from a different hand to hold the camera, and they don't line up with her existing little finger.
She is truly shooting from the hip... or maybe the floating rib.
I do that all the time when I'm shooting pictures of other people's feet.
videogame writer guy
We've seen better. Though I don't mind parodies of German language - shouldn't it at least make some sort of sense? "Injured Finger Victory" ?
What does that even mean? It sure ain't German...
I downloaded the image to zoom in Photoshop for a better look.
-I tried holding a squarish object that way- it is possible with that finger position, but desperately uncomfortable, and the thing keeps slipping out of my grasp.
-however, there's something odd about the relationship of the fingers to the hand, and hands don't hook on to wrists that way. (the dark shadow on the wrist? Looks like the hand was spliced on from an arm that was in a different position in a different photo).
-I am sure the camera was photographed separately in a studio, and 'shopped in. This is pretty common. Look at any car ad, or any ad involving a liquid in a transparent bottle.
I love this blog- I teach Photoshop, and refer my students to this blog to show them what not to do.
She looks like a raptor.
That hand looks like it may have been Frankenshopped together from a few different hands. Her original hand must have been very different, or holding something else.
By the way, my verification word was "awksjoi," which I take to mean "joy in that which is awkward." Fitting!
So, our language is funny?
Why then adopt so many words?
Go back to kindergarden.
;)
Wow, people on this site are by far the most anal, technicality nit-picking SOBs in the entire known universe. *sigh*
There is no problem with her fingers,I can do the same thing with mine :P But there is a problem with her left arm - it missing, and in it's place there is only drawing.
Yuli seems right, the glare and shadows are on the wrong sides of the camera.
I can hold my camera like that no problem, even though it wouldn't be the way I would without trying to...unless the marketing dept. told me NOT TO COVER THE BRANDING! Come on guys, that's the first rule of taking pics of consumer products...
dunno if its a PsD but its definitely weird. Kinda looks like shopped fingers, and her knuckles dont really match up with her fingers...
hay gaise i hold mah camra liek this all teh tiem lawl
p.s. my captcha: "comin"
verletzerfingersieg? Hahaha, hahaha. Das ist ja noch schlimmer als die Photoshop Fakes... Hahaha. Weder das Wort noch der Sinn ist mir hier in good ol' Germany jemals zu Ohren gekommen.
"verletzerfingersieg" don't exists in the german language - and is even more ridiculus than the PS-works.
verletzterfingersieg?
verletzterfingernachtotalemblödsinnschreibvorfall is the word you are looking for.
@trettenbrein:
Don't bother. The people running this site make up english words as well. Artsy folk can never be too verbose. It's the only way they can prove they're actually smart, since all they're really good at is art, and their parents probably paid for whatever post-high school education they have.
