Thanks to Simon!

Great one! :P

first?

Well, I think she suffered an amputation when younger.

At first I saw only their heads and saw nothing wrong. Then I scrolled down.

Holy cheeseburgers.

She looks so happy, too! Poor lady.

I don't know what they were trying to do here, though. The caption refers to the woman (I think), so why try to remove her?

Thomas Westgard said...

The caption says, "[They] were a couple for 17 years." Kind of ironic that she is being removed electronically from the picture.

holly shit.

nomonimo said...

my guess, she had I tattoo removed...it was a big one!

The Big Blue Frog said...

She gave someone the cold shoulder, and never had it replaced.

Nice "Photo-Chop" work!

ey, man! this women is dead and she was an famous actress in germany. please, a little bit more respect.

btw: thanks for a very, very "unboring" blog.

"At first I saw only their heads and saw nothing wrong. Then I scrolled down."

Whoa, what resolution are YOU running?

Razumikhin said...

This is not a disaster, pfft. This blog sucks, bla bla bla.

Current Resident said...

Who cares if you are the first to post. This isn't that kind of blog, idiot!

jimkeller24 said...

She was such a great actress and the article obviously was about her (plus the caption refers to her and the man on the photo as a couple), so why the frickin' hell did they try to get her OUT of the photo?

Germans only: Maybe that's the sequel to the Loriot sketch with the noodle on her face, dunno.

Fried Toast said...

My g'friend can do that?

Jimmis said...

Wow this is definitely one of those pictures I would like the see the designer try and defend.

wv: crank

tim maguire said...

In their defense, they did a nice job cutting her out of that one part they got to.

Ian Watson said...

Not a PSD. Her expression is clearly the blissed-out grin of someone coming off the anaesthetic after a particularly gruelling shoulderectomy.

Hacker said...

Wow, they removed her whole shoulder just to get rid of a parrot!

Blaine said...

I'm guessing they had originally edited this to get a clean headshot of the guy. Then someone wanted both of them and forgot about the missing shoulder.

Steve said...

I'm guessing those are shark-infested waters.

"The couple together in happier times, Stefan and Evelyn shared a love of gadgets and modern technology. Here, our cameraman catches Evelyn decloaking after a discrete swim in the 'stealth bikini' Stefan bought her the previous Valentine's Day to elude paparazzi."

bfirrera said...

Since you can still just barely see the outline of her shoulder, I kind of wonder if she had a green towel that got "chromokeyed" out?

jeffronic said...

That's an awesome tattoo of the ocean on her shoulder.
So where's the PsD?

Jérem' said...

I think the word "disaster" is not enough the size of it...

Miwa said...

OMIGOSH!
This is real????
Someone made it, really?

maybe..that person have a little problem..as this woman...but in the head D=

They erase his brain..
omg..i cant bealive that something like this really happend

Jennifer said...

It looks like they were trying to add her to the photo. The shadows on both people don't match, and her arm next to his shirt is odd. I think she was accidentally put behind a water layer.. and that just wasn't fixed.

ZaphodQB said...

I guessing it's an article about home schooling!

bruce said...

That's a nice off-the-shoulder bikini she's wearing!

Val said...

She had 'water on the knee' and it moved north.

My suspicion as to how this happened:

Bossman: It's nice, but could we get a little more sea next to the guy's head and shoulders?
Photoshopper: Uh, I don't know if you noticed, but there's a person there. I can't just photoshop her out. It will look ugly.
Bossman: Look, I don't care how ugly it looks--get more sea by his head and shoulders!

wiseman said...

Ehrm... Say what?!

Raffaella Arnaldi said...

"The Sea Inside"...

bimk said...

You know, as she died in 2007, it's only realistic, that she seems to be dissolving into thin air.

Shirtspotting said...

The caption says "Tear from Evelyns testament". Maybe the Photoshopper got a bit confused upon hearing he should tear out something.

However, she has not deserved to be shown and exhibited in that crappy mag, be it in whole or messed up, she was one of the best. R.I.P.

no-name said...

My guess is that they comped him in from another shot, hence the different light sources for both, and forgot to fix things up...

Bilby P. Dalgyte said...

HAHAHAHA! XD OK seriously how did no one notice that and go "hey... maybe that's not quite right. Do you think we should fix this?" let alone not go "oh woops I did something bad."? This is just hilarious and very very sad :P

Bofofo said...

My girlfriend can do that!

mfg said...

SHE IS DEAD YOU BASTARDS!

jackie31337 said...

mfg said SHE IS DEAD YOU BASTARDS!

Therefore, all images of her must immediately be removed from the Internet, and we must never speak of her again.

Jajaja!

Miranda said...

Respect, reschmect. This ain't an obit section, this is Photoshop Disasters. And whoa, is that ever a disaster! lol

N. said...

Hard to tell if she's been added to the photo, or the water has been cloned over her shoulder ... either way, if you really think about it ... its been very well done. Aside from the fact it's not finished I can't even tell which part of the image doesn't belong there, making it quite a testament to the talented, albeit rushed and distracted artist :p

katsuryi said...

They were obviously home schooled.

LisaBrodsky1965 said...

To all those who complain about lack of respect for the dead: Don't yell at us; yell at the person who tried to Photoshop her out of existance!

Current Resident said...

The "home schooled" jokes are getting quite stale.

WV: "grated." Indeed.

Howard said...

You all are missing the obvious explanation: Someone went back in time and caused her to be not born and now she's fading from the picture. Duh!!

ZaphodQB said...

I disagree, the "home school" jokes are timely and going to be with us for a long while.

Quite a few home schooled have seen to that!!!

The Sophisticate's Diary said...

How are they "timely"?

Denzel said...

I was homeschooled - and I'm not stupid enough to forget that I PhotoShopped out a chick's entire shoulder.

/just sayin'
//I'm also not stupid enough to get offended about it, though

akawil said...

Clearly someone's gone back in time and stopped her parents from getting together. Haven't you seen Back To The Future?

ewaffle said...

I think she just needs a shoulder to cry on.

I have only one question:

Why?

Raffaella Arnaldi said...

Hey, look at the picture of the dress in blue (the front) - there clearly is a PD, what do you think they were trying to hide??

Ruth said...

I love how even some of her side (if you look near her hand under the white bar) is gone too. ;D

Strato Habercom said...

You complain when we leave the lonely hand on her shoulder, you complain if we remove it... Are you photoshop blogger people never satified?

Rentokill said...

That issue must be rather old, Evelyn Hamann (the not-quite-removed lady, a german actress) has been dead for quite some time... geez what a hack-job. i suppose they were going for a photo-ripped-in-two effect, since the article talks about the couples separation. Too bad if you dont save your work before calling it a day...

PixelPusher_DWhite said...

This is not a Photoshop disaster, just a clear case of "swimmer's shoulder".

Belle Epoque said...

LOL!>> That's a DISASTER!

That qualifies the editor as well...

HAHAHA, yeah this is real bad.
