New York Lottery: In Dog We Trust

Now you know where the prize money for the New York lottery comes from; little puppies shit it out. Kind of obvious really.

Thanks to JB!

This lottery smells... Doggy...

Wow. THAT'S a PSD?

Humorous? Yes.
Design Fail? Yes.
PSD? I don't think so.

Surely you guys get better submissions than this...

I still love you, PSD, even though everyone else will complain about this.

Wow - sent you the new W cover with a totally 'shopped Demi Moore (her legs don't line up from one side to the other of a cutout - http://www.wmagazine.com/celebrities/2009/12/demi_moore_ss#slide=4 ), and this poorly thought out design is a PSD?

I give up. I don't know what a PSD Fail is anymore, obviously.

Gosh, Mr. Eddie Con Carne, you've got some hardcore followers there. Your daily bit of photographic amusement doesn't seem to cut it anymore. I suggest you recruit a panel of experts to establish a lengthy, 347-article Chart for PSD Factor Quantification to sort what goes from what doesn't on this blog. Also, set up a PSD Wiki, so that the most zealous may tediously debate the wording of § 3, article 47 in every detail.

For my part, I love the posts, keep'em coming!

My reasoning: If it's lulzy, it's a PSD.

Yes he does, I sent him this pasted in image of lady gaga. From People mag.

Note the lame cut outs around the hands, etc

But this design fail beats an obvious PSD I guess

Zaphod,

man this is funny! You have to add "html" to your link, but it's definitely worth a look. However I don't think it's pasted in. Google "lady gaga ACE Awards" and she looks the same everywhere. My favorite is here

I like this, disaster or not, i'ts finny. Isn't why we come here once in a while?

David! Yes! A PsD Wiki! An endless set of posts arguing about whether or not today's PsD is truly bad enough.... what is the meaning of bad? Yes, yes, yes, yes.

In Germany there is a fairy-tale with a donkey who shits gold coins. Maybe the dog is one of his relatives.

Funny just ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH when you're an enraged Internet Dweeb. Only tedious arguing over terminology can soothe the savage dork.

Puppy that shits money. What's there not to like?

Strange kind of humor - but no PsD...

That's great. I don't think i would have noticed it otherwise.

What's really funny is the ad next to it.

Oh wow. Lighten up people. There is plenty of room on the blog for photoshop disasters, composition disasters, poorly thought out design, and the like. We see mismatched legs, bad cut outs, and reverse reflections almost daily. This is hilarious and a good change of pace. I'm sure we'll be back to making fun of improbable model limbs soon.

Don't tell PETA, but it looks like the little dog had his penis amputated.

Weird, because "unfortunate adaption" is a tag. Who the fuck are you to tell the site what to post?

Zaphod, David--

One difficulty with using an image of Lady GaGa as a PsD is that every picture of her has so many different possible disasters, Photoshop, design, her own fashion choices and just the general miasma of tackiness taken to insane lengths would make it impossible to tell where one stops and the other starts.

I like this site. I like the PsDs. I like reading the comments in case I have missed some element of how bogus the PsD is.

I dislike people complaining about it.

Aaaaaarrrrggghh. Not happy that your own submission wasn't chosen? Unhappy that it wasn't the huge PSD you were dreaming to see? Here's an answer: FRACKIN GO TO HELL!

Waldobaby said...

Why do you people assume this is a mistake? On a corporate level it's an oversite error, but I'd bet dollars against turds that this is just plain pissed-off-ness at the bottom.

Waldobaby said...

@Tammi: anger is not an appropriate response to whining. Perhaps a spanking?

My Disast-O-Tector is in need of calibration. I've doubted the disasteriness of a few lately but a puppy spraying atomised jizz and paper money from its anus is always a PSD in my book.

You people (the ones bitching and moaning) that they get more than just two (yours and the one they choose) submissions for Photoshop Disasters a day? Doesn't mean they won't post yours later down the line -- calm down. This isn't your blog, there are no rules to what they can and can't post as it is a 'personal' BLOG. So chill and don't waste yours' and other people's time by whining about one, out of hundreds, of PSD posts.

I find this a rather funny oversight on the designers part... or maybe they did it on purpose... ;)

This particular one was intentional. Haven't you seen the rest of the NY Lottery's "sweet" ad campaign? They use comedy like this.

rickets said...

no they don't.

Wrong. Fail. Other images in the campaign have a kitten in pajamas, a piglet sleeping (what is so cute about a pig) and another one of a bunny. None of them are shitting money.

Hi, I'm JB; I submitted this photo. It's in the 68th St. (6) train station in Manhattan. The same ad is all over New York as part of the same ad campaign without the same, ahem, placement, but the proportions of this particular adspace place the greenbacks right at the money spot! My guess is that it was an accident by some bored-to-death peon who was told to fit the ad to the space.

As for it's PSD-worthiness, I agree that it's more of a layout issue rather than a body-morph. But don't people use Photoshop for layout?

And c'mon, it's a giant money-pooping puppy!

@aaron: my point exactly
